"Esprit de corps" - The spirit of the group.
One of our groups, selected from A cappella, is dedicated to singing music that is more "Popappella" than anything else. We have a group of 16-20 students who arrange and perform more contemporary music of various styles, accompanying themselves with a student band. They perform regularly throughout the community at concerts, local events like Light Up The Highlands, hospitals, malls, and even at the various ski resorts in Colorado each December after finals. In March, this amazing group puts on their own themed show as the culmination of their annual effort. Through all of this, they become a very tight-knit family and learn what it means to work together for the good of the group.

See you soon!
It has been one of the great honors of my professional career to maintain and grow the legacy of the Lake Highlands Choirs and Espree; a legacy established by great Choir Directors like Stan McGill, Debbie Helm Daniel, Mollie Williams McCollough, and Michael O'Hern. Our world has changed, but our reputation and our commitment to excellence has not. Likewise, costs have risen, but our funding is inadequate to cover the cost of operating Espree and a program of over 300 students. Our District capital outlay funding is very helpful, but even that doesn’t cover all the costs of upgrading and maintaining technology, instruments, lights, staging, music, production personnel, etc. With your help, and support, we can continue to serve all the needs of Espree and the LHHS Choirs. Please accept our sincere gratitude for helping us look at the next 40 years by honoring us with a gift to celebrate the past 40 years! (This fundraiser is sponsored by the LHACBC and not affiliated with RISD.)
